Established in 2016 by local residents, Hornsby Connect strives to provide hope and support to those in need within our community. We operate on a “hand up” philosophy, offering essential services that empower individuals to overcome challenges and improve their circumstances. Our initiatives focus on reducing social isolation, promoting dignity, and building a more inclusive society.

Hornsby Connect is celebrating nine years of service to the local community. Founded in 2016, the not-for-profit organisation provides vital support to people in need, primarily through its food bank service.

The NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership program awarded Hornsby Connect a $40,000 grant to purchase a new refrigeration truck. This upgrade replaces a 15-year-old vehicle and will enhance food rescue and distribution efforts.

Hornsby Connect has launched “The Zone,” a safe, supportive, and affirming social group for neurodivergent teens. This initiative fosters connection and inclusion in a welcoming environment.

In partnership with Pennant Hills Baptist Church, Hornsby Connect is running the “Donate a Box” campaign to provide essential food and supplies to vulnerable families. Community members are encouraged to contribute to this impactful program.
